Where Can I Find Truth?

We live in a day and age when there’s more information than ever at our fingertips. In fact, we hold it in the palm of our hands with our smart phones. And yet, it seems harder and harder to find out what is actually true. Every piece of information seems to come with a spin or someone’s jaded perspective. So how can we find truth, absolute truth?

Well, Jesus tells us in John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” So where can we find truth? We can find it in the word of God, which shouldn’t surprise us. God created this world, and He made us to live in it for His glory. So it should be no surprise that He’s informed us about what is true and what is not true in the world that He created. Paul is also helpful here when he says in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you might prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” And how do we renew our minds? By looking not to the world but to the word of God. That’s where we will find truth, absolute truth.

Something to think about from the Proclamation point of view.
