Sermon Theme: Jesus came on a mission to glorify His heavenly Father, specifically through His death on the cross. We, as followers of Christ, are called to see and believe that He is the Messiah, count the cost, and live in such a way that brings maximum glory to God.

I.      MISSION OF JESUS – (John 12:27-36)

          A.     Jesus came for a specific hour – (John 12:27)

          B.     Jesus came to glorify God – (John 12:28-30)

          C.     Jesus came to die – (John 12:31-33)

          D.     Jesus came to be the light of the world – (John 12:34-36)

II.    MIRACULOUS UNBELIEF – (John 12:37-43)

          A.     They saw but did NOT believe – (John 12:37)

          B.     They saw and could NOT believe – (John 12:38-40)

          C.     The O.T. Prophet Isaiah saw and believed – (John 12:41)

          D.     They believed but did NOT believe – (John 12:42-43)

III.   MUST COUNT THE COST – (John 12:44-50)

          A.     Whoever believes in Jesus will be saved – (John 12:44-47)

          B.     Whoever rejects Jesus will be judged – (John 12:48-50)
