John 13:1-35

Sermon Theme: Jesus Christ did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. Therefore, He calls all those who believe in Him to follow His example of being humble and servant-hearted in their love for one another, for by this all people will know we are His disciples.

I. THE MASTER SERVES - (John 13:1-30)
    A. Jesus Loved His Disciples (John 13:1) 
    B. Jesus Betrayed by Judas (John 13:2, 18-30) 
        1. Judas betrayed Jesus 
        2. Judas fulfilled Scripture
    C. Jesus Served His Disciples (John 13:3-11) 
        1. Jesus is God 
        2. Jesus is humble and servant-hearted 
        3. Jesus is patient with Peter
    D. Jesus Instructed His Disciples (John 13:12-17)
        1. Servant not greater than his master
        2. Blessed if you love one another

II. THE SERVANT LOVES - (John 13:31-35)
    A. Love As I Loved You (John 13:31-34) 
        1. New commandment given
        2. New standard established
    B. Love So People Will Know (John 13:35)
